NNPHI’s inaugural Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) ECHO series focuses on the challenges, opportunities, and successes of PHIG recipients to support health departments and organizations in harnessing their power and influence to achieve their strategic goals. The series explores key themes aligned with PHIG’s guiding strategic inputs, outputs, and outcomes to collaboratively address these process and operational challenges, broadening the conversation around social capital and its impact on workforce development. Participants and subject matter experts within the PHIG network will engage actively in discussions centered around strategies that inspire confidence and creativity in workforce development!
This series occurs bi-weekly on Fridays from January 10, 2025 – April 25, 2025.

- Cross-organizational partnerships, including building alliances with HR departments
- Opportunities to streamlining grant and contracting processes
- Strategies for robust recruitment, hiring, and retention

Target Audience:
- Public health professionals working in a health department or other organization, such as non-profit or government agencies, that is a recipient of PHIG funding and/or conducts PHIG-related programming.
- Programmatic and administrative staff members, including PHIG workforce development directors, principal investigators (PIs), HR liaisons, and other training and development professionals at PHIG recipient jurisdictions from public health organizations interested in addressing workforce development challenges.
